BAE Systems Stratsec was named "Information Security Employer of the Year" for 2012, at the inaugural Australian Information Security Association (AISA) Information Security Awards, following the National Conference in October 2012.

Stratsec has been named "Australia's Best Business", taking top honours in the prestigious National Telstra Business Awards. Stratsec won the Telstra Australian Business of the Year Award after earlier being named the 2010 National Winner of the Panasonic Australia Medium Business Award.
Telstra CEO David Thodey said stratsec was an outstanding business selected from a group that had prospered despite the tough business conditions during the global financial crisis.
Telstra Business Group Managing Director and Telstra Business Awards Ambassador, Deena Shiff, said stratsec has an energetic and focused management team that led the company profitably through the global financial crisis and completed the successful merger with SIFT in 2009.
Panasonic Australia CEO Steve Rust congratulated stratsec on an outstanding effort among such tough and deserving competition: “Like stratsec, Panasonic Australia believes that understanding business opportunities, being innovative, open-minded and customer-focused is central to business success in today’s environment,” Mr Rust said.
Stratsec followed its success in winning the 2008 ACT Emerging Exporter of the Year award, by securing the 2009 ACT ICT Export Award; in recognition of the company's export success, largely driven by the establishment of the Stratsec lab; an internationally accredited IT security evaluation facility.
Stratsec has been awarded major contracts in the USA, UK, Israel, Malaysia, Singapore and more generally into the Asia-Pacific region. Current export clients include Microsoft, SAIC, SanDisk, Juniper, Eaglehawk, IBM and the Malaysian Government.
By virtue of winning the ACT ICT Export Award category, Stratsec was a national finalist at both the 2009 and 2008 Australian Export Awards ceremony held at Parliament House, Canberra, representing the ACT division.
Following on from the success in winning the ACT MYOB Telstra Business Award in 2007, it was two from two for Stratsec in as many years; taking out the ACT Panasonic Medium Business Award in 2008.
The award category in 2008 was open to businesses comprising 20 to 200 people, previously 20 to 100 for this category. With 21 people confirmed as Stratsec employees in 2008, the company pulled off a major coup in securing the SME award, just 12 months after the 2007 small business achievement.
Stratsec took-out the Actew-AGL / Canberra Times Business Success Series award in December 2008 (coordinated by the Canberra Business Council).
The annual awards (2008-09) were then presented in Canberra in October 2009, with all monthly award recipients including Stratsec being in line for the coveted ACT Business of the Year award.
Stratsec was very proud to be named the winner of the annual ACT Business of the Year award by the Canberra Business Council.
In 2008 Stratsec were joined by Unisys as winners of the Froggy Award (SME category), awarded to the highest achievers in the Federal Government ICT market from 2005 to 2008.
The awards are coordinated by Intermedium, a specialist ICT consulting firm providing the industry with news and information on the government ICT market.
Stratsec was one of four high quality finalists at the second annual SC Magazine Awards in 2010, for Vendor of the Year: Presented to the organisation that best protected its Australian customers, improved local channel health, led innovation and influenced industry best practices.
Stratsec was recognised for its excellent and sustained high performance through receiving a 'Highly Commended' award for the category. The winner for 2010 was Watchguard.
Stratsec was also one of four high quality finalists at the inaugural SC Magazine Awards in 2009, for AusCERT’s Annual Award for Organisational Excellence in Information Security. This award was ultimately won by National Austraila Bank's NAB-CERT team.
